Brush For A Brush helps out at Lynnfield Primary

April 04, 2019

Because of our customers, we were able to donate over 300 brushes and toothpaste to an entire school in Hartlepool. For those of you who don’t know, we have our own charity named Brush for a Brush, where we donate a toothbrush and toothpaste to a person in need whenever someone purchases a WhiteWash product. We have helped many children and adults across the world and in our local North-East area.

The children of Lynnfield Primary School currently took part in science week and the year 4 class studied all about human teeth and why it is important to look after them. Children getting tooth extractions in England have been rising year on year. In 2017, 170 tooth extractions a day were being made on children with decayed teeth. According to Public Health England, one in four children will have tooth decay when they start school.

Poor diet and inadequate toothbrushing habits are related to poor oral health in children. The development of decay in primary teeth (baby teeth), increases a further risk of developing decay in permanent teeth (adult teeth).

The children of Lynnfield Primary School were excited to find out more about oral health and how they can keep their smile healthy. With the help of your custom, we are able to educate children and adults across the globe on good oral health, to help them maintain good oral hygiene and to get a healthy and bright smile.
